Burbank is a greenbelt suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Burbank had a population of 1,050 people. Geography Burbank is an outer suburb of City of Brisbane and borders City of Redland to the east and City of Logan to the south. Burbank has a number of small intermittent creeks winding between cleared and uncleared rolling hills. The main road across in the area is the Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road. There are also a couple of working and hobby farms. There are a few palm nurseries and at least two turf farms in the area. Burbank has a number of churches and temples and there is a Jewish school. The closest public primary school is Mackenzie State School (formerly Mount Petrie State School) in Mackenzie. There are no shops in the suburb and public transport is very limited. Burbank is a small farming unincorporated community located on the western edge of Millard County, Utah, United States, just east of the Nevada border. It is located in the southern part of Snake Valley, near the opening (northern border) of Hamlin Valley. History It was founded as a Mormon farming community in the 1870s, with an early post office located at the Dearden Ranch. It was named after Margie Burbank Clay, the wife of local Judge E. W. Clay. Margie's obituary states that it was named in August 1949 after her mother when she, Margie, was age 96. Her mother was Laura Ann (Willard) Burbank (1819-1893). ''Clay'' was used as the name of the major spring that was first used by the settlers. This spring is the main source of water for Pruess Lake, to the north. Outlaws, cattle rustlers, and uncertainty over the local water sources caused the abandonment of the community, with the exception of the Dearden Ranch. Burbank is a census-designated place (CDP) in Walla Walla County, Washington, United States, where the Snake River meets the Columbia. The population was 3,291 at the 2010 census. Named for Luther Burbank, the city is located just east of Pasco and Kennewick, across the Snake and Columbia Rivers, respectively. Burbank is part of the Tri-Cities, WA urban area, despite being located in the Walla Walla metropolitan area (which includes all of Walla Walla and Columbia counties). The Burbank Hills are a small northwest-southeast mountain range in western Utah, United States that lie entirely within the Hamlin-Snake Watershed, between the Snake Range and the Ferguson Desert. Burbank is a town in western Osage County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 141 at the 2010 census, a 9 percent decrease from the figure of 155 recorded in 2000. History Burbank was founded in 1903 on the Osage Reservation. The founder was Anthony "Gabe" Carlton, a mixed-blood Osage and a Chouteau family descendant, who owned the townsite and named it after the artist Elbridge Ayer Burbank (1858-1949) who spent his life painting the Indians of over 125 tribes. Burbank had about 200 residents and an economy based on farming and ranching until May 1920 when E.W. Marland discovered petroleum northeast of the town. Burbank became a boom town, and other towns in the area such as Whizbang sprang up overnight to exploit the rich petroleum resources.
