Bundu (state)
Bundu (also Bondu, Bondou and Boundou) was a state in one of the West African countries which later became a French protectorate dependent on the colony of Senegal. It lay between the Falémé River and the upper course of the Gambia River, that is between 13th parallel north, 13 and 15th parallel north, 15 N., and 12th meridian west, 12 and 13th meridian west, 13 W. Description The country is an elevated plateau, with hills in the southern and central parts. Leonard Bundu (born 21 November 1974) is a Sierra Leone-born Italian former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2016. Mustapha Bundu Shong Hames (born 28 February 1997) is a Sierra Leonean professional footballer who plays as a forward for FC Andorra, on loan from Belgian club Anderlecht. He also represents the Sierra Leonean national team. Sallieu Bundu (born January 1, 1984, in Freetown, Sierra Leone) nicknamed Teacher, is a Sierra Leonean Association football, footballer. Early life Bundu, who is commonly known by his nickname Teacher, grew up in his hometown of Freetown, Sierra Leone, the second largest city in Sierra Leone. He attended the Independence Memorial High School. Bundu Khan (1880 – 1955) was an Indian sarangi player. Early life and career Bundu Khan was born in Delhi in a family of musicians. He received his early training in sarangi from his father Ali Jan Khan starting at 8 years of age, and later from his uncle Mamman Khan, a veteran Sarangi and Sursagar Player who belonged to the Patiala gharana (House of Patiala) of classical musicians. Bundu Khan played the sarangi from All India Radio, Delhi Station, when it first started broadcasting in 1935. He served the princely court of Indore for 27 years as a court-musician. The Bhundu Boys were a Zimbabwean band that played a mixture of chimurenga music with American rock and roll, disco, country, and pop influences.
