Arthur Henry Bullen
Arthur Henry Bullen, often known as A. H. Bullen, (9 February 1857, London – 29 February 1920, Stratford-on-Avon) was an English editor and publisher, a specialist in 16th and 17th century literature, and founder of the Shakespeare Head Press, which for its first decades was a publisher of fine editions in the tradition of the Kelmscott Press. His father George Bullen (d. 1894) was a librarian at the British Museum. A. H. Bullen's interest in Elizabethan dramatists and poets started at the City of London School, before he went to Worcester College, Oxford to study classics. His publishing career began with a scholarly edition of the ''Works of John Day'' in 1881 and continued with series of ''The English Dramatists'' (London: John C. Admiral (Royal Navy), Admiral Sir Charles Bullen (10 September 1769 – 2 July 1853) was a highly efficient and successful naval officer who served in the Royal Navy during the French Revolutionary War, French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars and distinguished himself at the Glorious First of June, the battle of Camperdown and the battle of Trafalgar. Charles William 'Chic' Bullen (January 15, 1919 – December 23, 2009) was a Utah politician and legislator. Born and died in Logan, Utah, Bullen served in the Utah House of Representatives from 1971 to 1977 and then the Utah State Senate from 1977 to 1985. He was a Republican. Keith Bullen (poet)
Keith Brebner Bullen (died 30 July 1946) was a British poet and teacher who was part of the Salamander group in Cairo during World War II. Early life and schools Bullen was the son of W A Bullen who had emigrated to Cape Town in 1891, and was born and brought up in Cape Town. In the 1920s he was a member of the teaching staff at The English School, in Cairo. At the school he met, and married in 1928, Wanda Tomlinson the daughter of Robert George Tomlinson, Director of Salt's Brewery in Burton on Trent. They returned to England to set up a preparatory school at Malvern. Bullen, though a brilliant English scholar was no businessman and the school failed in 1934. He returned to Cairo to work for the British Council. They were appointed by the council to run the Gezira Preparatory School, a British Council School in a Cairo suburb. Keith Edward Bullen FAA FRS (29 June 1906 – 23 September 1976) was a New Zealand-born mathematician and geophysicist. He is noted for his seismological interpretation of the deep structure of the Earth's mantle and core. He was Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Sydney in Australia from 1945 until 1971. first published in ''Australian Dictionary of Biography'', Volume 13, (MUP), 1993. Luke Bullen
Luke Bullen (born 9 February 1973 in Norwich, England) is an English drummer and percussionist. Bullen studied at London drum school Drumtech and joined the band Addict in 1995; the band was signed to V2 Records in 1996. Bullen left Addict in 2000 and formed Zanderman with Addict's lead singer Mark Aston. Marc Bullen (born 12 July 1982) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League for the Essendon Football Club. Originally from Shepparton, Victoria, Bullen was selected with the 63rd pick in the 2000 AFL Draft. In the 5 seasons he played for the Bombers, he never cemented his position. During the 2003 and '04 seasons the young defender/midfielder had patches of good form, playing 16 & 17 games respectively of the 22 standard season games, including an AFL Rising Star nomination in 2003. However 2005 was a brown patch for him in his short career and he only managed 7 games for the season. Edward A. Bullen (1884 – 11 August 1917) was an English professional football left half who made over 180 Football League appearances for Bury and captained the club. Personal life Bullen was born in Warrington and grew up in Altrincham. While he was footballer with Bury, he ran a pub in Warrington. William Bullen
__NOTOC__ William Bullen was a leading English cricketer throughout the last quarter of the 18th century, his known career spanning the years 1773 to 1800. He was an all-rounder who probably batted right-handed. He played mainly for Kent sides although he also appeared for England XIs and a variety of other sides. Arthur Haygarth, writing in the 1860s, describes Bullen as a "close set, strong built man" and a "crack" (i.e. expert) player, who was a "renowned batsman and bowler".Haygarth, p. 8. He was a fast bowler, in the underarm style, and a hard-hitting batsman who was a "powerful" player. He is reputed to have "frequently bowled the sixth part of a mile (about 300 yards), or the whole length of the Artillery Ground in London".
