''Bukit Ho Swee'' (河水山) is a Singaporean Chinese language TV series aired in 2002 on Channel 8. With the "kampungs" of Bukit Ho Swee, a prominent Chinese estate notorious for its cramped squatters and gangsters at that time, as a backdrop, the series is set during the 1950s prior to the infamous fire of 1961. Synopsis The story revolves around the tenants who live in Bukit Ho Swee. The tenants engage in petty squabbles with one another frequently and it is only during times of difficulties that some of them realise the strong bonds that have been forged along the way as well as the importance of harmonious living. Zhu Xiufeng
Zhu Xiufeng (born Choo Siew Fong in 1943 or 1944) is a Singaporean actress whose acting career spans more than six decades. She has performed on stage, in films and television. She has also worked as a screenwriter, a film company publicity manager, TV and radio play writer and a stage play reviewer. Tian Liang (; born August 27, 1979) is a male Chinese actor and former diver. Diving career Tian won gold in the 10 m platform event in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In the Summer Olympics 2004, he won the bronze medal in the 10 m platform event and a gold medal in the synchronised platform event. Since then, he and another gold medal winner, the Chinese female diver Guo Jingjing, often appeared together in public activities. Henry Thia (; born 25 February 1952), also known as , is a Singaporean actor and comedian. Career Thia was a member of the main cast of ''Comedy Nite'' throughout its run.
