Bugojno Bombing
The 2010 Bugojno bombing was an act of Islamic terrorism that occurred on 27 June 2010 against the police authorities of the Central Bosnia Canton in Bugojno in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the attack, one policeman was killed and several others were injured. Haris Čaušević, the assailant, was sentenced to 35 years in prison. Bombing Haris Čaušević, the perpetrator of the attack, belonged to a homegrown terrorist cell led by Rijad Rustempašić. The group followed the Salafism, Salafist Islamic ideology, and Čaušević participated at the planning meetings. Rustempašić and several of his followers were arrested in a police operation in 2009 and charged with terrorism, conspiracy to commit a crime, and illegal possession and trade of weapons. There has been an increase in incidents involving alleged radical Islamism in the Balkans since the 1990s. Bosnia and Herzegovina * Mostar car bombing on 18 September 1997, a terrorist attack was organized by ''Ahmed Zuhair (Abu Handala)'', a Saudi mujahideen that fought in Bosnia. Rijeka Bombing
The 1995 Rijeka bombing occurred on 20 October 1995 in Rijeka, Croatia, when an Islamic terrorist organization attempted to destroy a police station by driving a car with a bomb into the wall of the building. Twenty-seven employees in the police station and two bystanders on the street were injured, although the only person killed was the attacker. Zvornik Police Station Shooting
April 27 terrorist attack happened when a muslim gunman attacked a police station in Zvornik in the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He killed one police officer and wounded two others before he was shot dead by other police officers. This was the first attack of its kind in Republika Srpska; attacks have occurred in the other entity, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the 1997 Mostar car bombing.
