Ion Buga
__NOTOC__ Ion Buga (born 16 February 1935) is a Moldovan politician and history professor. Biography He served as member of the Parliament of Moldova in 1990s and president of the party New Historical Option (then called Romanian National Party) after 2000. He is a leader of the Democratic Forum of Romanians in Moldova. Ion Buga is one of the 278 signatories to the Moldovan Declaration of Independence, Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova. Kazimieras Būga
Kazimieras Būga (; November 6, 1879 – December 2, 1924) was a Lithuanian linguist and philologist. He was a professor of linguistics, who mainly worked on the Lithuanian language. He was born at Pažiegė, near Dusetos, then part of the Russian Empire. Appointed as personal secretary to Lithuanian linguist Kazimieras Jaunius he showed great interest in the subject, and during the period 1905-12 studied at Saint Petersburg State University. After that, he continued his work on Indo-European language under the supervision of Jan Niecisław Baudouin de Courtenay. He later moved to Köningsberg to continue his studies under the direction of Adalbert Bezzenberger. In 1914 he received a master's degree in linguistics. His research on Lithuanian personal names led him into the study of place-names. Konstantin Buga (born 17 June 1985 in Atbasar, Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic) is a German amateur boxer best known for qualifying for the 2008 Olympics as a middleweight. Career Buga came to Germany in 1996 and received a German passport in 2002. He won the German championships at welterweight in 2005 but moved up to middleweight later. He participated in the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships and was one of only two German quarterfinalists that qualified directly for the Olympics.
