Budō
is a Japanese term describing modern Japanese martial arts. Literally translated it means the "Martial Way", and may be thought of as the "Way of War" or the "Way of Martial Arts". Etymology Budō is a compound of the root ''bu'' ( 武:ぶ), meaning "war" or "martial"; and '' dō'' ( 道:どう; ''dào'' in Chinese), meaning "path" or "way" (including the ancient Indic Dharmic and Buddhist conception of "path", or '' mārga'' in Sanskrit). Budō is the idea of formulating propositions, subjecting them to philosophical critique and then following a "path" to realize them. ''Dō'' signifies a "way of life". ''Dō'' in the Japanese context is an experiential term in the sense that practice (the way of life) is the norm to verify the validity of the discipline cultivated through a given art form. Buddo, sometimes spelled as Budo, is a hill in Wakiso District, Central Uganda. Phonetically, Buddo is the correct spelling in Luganda, the native language of the local area. Kings College Budo
King’s College Budo is a mixed, residential, secondary school in Central Uganda (Buganda). Location The school is located on Naggalabi Hill, in southern Wakiso District, off the Kampala-Masaka Road. This location lies approximately , by road, southwest of the central business district of Kampala, the capital of Uganda and the largest city in that country. History The school was officially opened on 29 March 1906 with 21 boys. It was founded by His Majesty's Acting Commissioner of the Uganda Protectorate, George Wilson and the ''Church Missionary Society''. It is one of the oldest schools in Uganda. The land on which it was built on was donated by the Kabaka of Buganda. The school was originally started a boys only school for the sons of chiefs and kings. Joshua Karp, better known by his stage name Budo, is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He is a member of A.R.M. along with M.anifest and Krukid. He is one half of the duo Roger Lion along with Joe Pernice. Life and career In 2005, Budo produced tracks for Macklemore's ''The Language of My World''. In 2008, he released a collaborative album with Grieves, titled ''88 Keys & Counting''. In 2011, he produced tracks for Grieves' album, ''Together/Apart''.
