Buddy Boeheim
Jackson Thomas "Buddy" Boeheim (born November 11, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League. He played for Syracuse Orange of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). He is the son of Hall of Fame basketball coach Jim Boeheim. High school career Boeheim attended Jamesville-DeWitt High School in DeWitt, New York. As a junior, he averaged 26.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, leading his team to a Class A Section III title, and was named All-Central New York Large School Player of the Year. For his senior season, Boeheim transferred to Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where he served as team captain. Jim Boeheim
James Arthur Boeheim Jr. ( ; born November 17, 1944) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's team of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Boeheim has guided the Orange to ten Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships, and 34 NCAA tournament appearances, including five Final Four appearances and three appearances in the national title game. In those games, the Orangemen lost to Indiana in 1987 on a last-second jump shot by Keith Smart, and to Kentucky in 1996, before defeating Kansas in 2003 with All-American Carmelo Anthony. 2021 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 ACC men's basketball tournament (officially the 2021 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament Presented by New York Life) was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, from March 9 to 13, 2021. It was the 68th annual edition of the tournament. The 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference basketball tournament was originally scheduled to be hosted at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was moved to the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, on November 24, 2020. Capital One Arena will host the tournament in 2024. Virginia and Duke elected to withdraw from the tournament due to some of their players testing positive for COVID-19. The Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Virginia.
