Budapest Honvéd FC
Budapest Honvéd Football Club (), commonly known as Budapest Honvéd or simply Honvéd, is a Hungarian sports club based in Kispest, Budapest, with the colours of red and black. The club is best known for its football team. ''Honvéd'' means the Homeland Defence. Originally formed as ''Kispest AC'', they became ''Kispest FC'' in 1926 before reverting to their original name in 1944. The team enjoyed a golden age during the 1950s when it was renamed ''Budapesti Honvéd SE'' and became the Hungarian Army team. The club's top players from this era, Ferenc Puskás, Sándor Kocsis, József Bozsik, Zoltán Czibor, and Gyula Grosics helped the club win the Hungarian League four times during the 1950s and also formed the nucleus of the legendary Hungarian national team popularly known as the '' Mighty Magyars.'' Bozsik Aréna
Bozsik Aréna is a multi-purpose stadium in Budapest, Hungary. The stadium opened on 24 July 2021 and it was renamed after the Budapest Honvéd FC and Hungary national football team, Hungary footballer József Bozsik (1925–1978). It is used for association football, football matches and it is the home stadium of Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Budapest Honvéd FC. History Planning On 20 November 2014, it was revealed that the reconstruction of Bozsik Aréna is going to start in 2015 and it will be finished in 2016. The stadium is the property of the Hungary, Hungarian state, namely the National Sportcentre. Viktor Kassai
Viktor Kassai (''Kassai Viktor'', Hungarian pronunciation: ; born 10 September 1975) is a Hungarian football official and a former referee who is the current head of refereeing department of the Bulgarian Football Union. He participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and refereed the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final. He has been a full international referee for FIFA since 2003. He retired as a referee on 30 December 2019. The 2018–19 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2018–19 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 120th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Videoton were the defending champions. Fixtures were published on 27 June 2018. Teams Balmazújváros and Vasas finished the 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság I in the last two places and thus were relegated to NB II division. Paksi FC (''Paks'') () is a Hungarian football club based in Paks. Since its founding in 1952, it has played at either a county or national level. In 2006, it ascended to ''Borsodi Liga'', or NB I, the top division in Hungarian football, for the first time. It plays its home games at Fehérvári úti Stadion. The team colors are green and white. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. Budapesti Honvéd SE is a basketball club based in Budapest, Hungary. With 33 Hungarian Championships and 17 Hungarian Cups won from the 1950s to the 1990s, it is the most successful team in the Hungarian national basketball league. The club was relegated from the 1st division in 2001, but continued as an amateur club in the 3rd division. Between 2004 and 2022 they have played in the 2nd division. Budapesti Honvéd Sport Egyesület is a Hungarian water polo club that is part of the Budapest-based multi-sports club with the same name. Founded in 1950, they won six Hungarian championships and eight Hungarian cup titles. In 2004, beside the domestic league success the team also collected the most prestigious continental cup, the LEN Euroleague, and later triumphed over LEN Cup winners CN Barcelona with a scoreline of 10–9 to win the LEN European Supercup.
