Buck Ridgley
Randolph H. Ridgley (June 24, 1895 – death unknown), nicknamed "Buck", was an American Negro league second baseman in the 1920s. A native of Warrenton, Virginia, Ridgley made his Negro leagues debut in 1920 with the Brooklyn Royal Giants and Baltimore Black Sox. He went on to play for Baltimore for two more seasons, then played for the Harrisburg Giants and Washington Potomacs The Washington Potomacs were a Negro league baseball team in the Eastern Colored League, based in Washington, D.C., in 1924. Warrenton, Virginia
Warrenton is a town in Fauquier County, Virginia, of which it is the seat of government. The population was 9,611 at the 2010 census, up from 6,670 at the 2000 census. The estimated population in 2019 was 10,027. It is at the junction of U.S. Route 15, U.S. Route 17, U.S. Route 29, and U.S. Route 211.
