Bu Yong-chan
Bu Yong-chan (; born ) is a South Korean male volleyball player. He currently plays the libero position for the Ansan OK Savings Bank Rush & Cash. Career Clubs In the 2011 V-League Draft, Bu was selected third overall by the LIG Greaters. After the 2015–16 season, Bu was traded to the Samsung Fire Bluefangs in exchange for veteran middle blocker Lee Sun-kyu. National team In June 2012 Bu was first selected for the South Korean senior national team to compete at the 2012 FIVB World League. Bu took part as the starting libero for the South Korean national team at the 2013 Asian Championship, where the team won the silver medal. He was also a member of the national team at the 2014 FIVB World Championship in Poland. Seogwipo
Seogwipo () is the second-largest city on Jeju Island, settled on a rocky volcanic coastline in the southern part of Jeju Province, South Korea. In July 2006, Seogwipo's boundaries were expanded to include the entire southern half of Jeju island. A UNESCO World Heritage site and 2002 FIFA World Cup host, it had a population of 155,691 as of December 31, 2011. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Poland from 30 August to 21 September 2014. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to the host nation Poland, 23 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in seven venues across seven Polish cities, with the final being held at Spodek, Katowice. The tournament was won by the host country Poland, who beat Brazil (who won the previous three titles) in the final. Poland became the third team in the history of the competition to be crowned as champions in their own country, joining the Soviet Union (1952 and 1962) and Czechoslovakia (1966). 563,263 fans watched the matches during the 18-day event, smashing the previous records in the competition.
