Bryson Brigman
Bryson Michael Brigman (born June 19, 1995) is an American professional baseball shortstop who is a free agent. Amateur career Brigman graduated from Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California in 2014. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 40th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign and instead chose to enroll at the University of San Diego where he played college baseball for the San Diego Toreros. As a freshman at USD in 2015, he slashed .339/.395/.436 with two home runs and 28 RBIs in 55 games and was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year. After the 2015 season, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2016, as a sophomore, he missed nine games due to a sports hernia but still played in 47 games, hitting .372 with 22 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. Oklahoma City Dodgers
The Oklahoma City Dodgers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They are located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and play their home games at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, which opened in 1998 in the city's Bricktown district. The team was originally known as the Oklahoma City 89ers from 1962 to 1997 and played at All Sports Stadium. The 2014 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft was held from June 5 through June 7, 2014, to assign amateur baseball players to MLB teams. Class A Short Season
Class A Short Season (officially Short-Season A) was a level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States from 1965 through 2020. In the hierarchy of minor league classifications, it was below Triple-A, Double-A, Class A-Advanced (created in 1990), and Class A. Teams in Class A Short Season played about 75 to 80 games per season, compared to the 130- to 140-game seasons of most professional baseball minor leagues. Athletic pubalgia, also called sports hernia, core injury, hockey hernia, hockey groin, Gilmore's groin, or groin disruption is a medical condition of the pubic joint affecting athletes. The Orleans Firebirds, formerly the Orleans Cardinals, are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Orleans, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division. Collegiate Summer Baseball
Collegiate summer baseball leagues are amateur baseball leagues in the United States and Canada featuring players who have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. Generally, they operate from early June to early August. In contrast to college baseball, which allow aluminum or other composite baseball bats, players in these leagues use only wooden bats, hence the common nickname of these leagues as "wood-bat leagues".
