Bryce Sweeting
Bryce Sweeting (born July 7, 1994) is a professional lacrosse player for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and the Peterborough Lakers of Major Series Lacrosse. Hailing from Peterborough, Ontario, Sweeting began playing lacrosse when he was six years old. He is a graduate of St. Peter Catholic Secondary School and St. Clair College. Sweeting began his junior career in 2012 with the Peterborough Lakers of the Ontario Junior C Lacrosse League. He worked his way up the Lakers system and began his MSL career in 2016. He was selected in the fourth round (32nd overall) of the 2015 NLL Draft, and began his career with the Colorado Mammoth in the 2016 season. After three seasons in Colorado, he was selected by the San Diego Seals in the 2018 NLL expansion draft, and was promptly dealt to the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for Ethan Schott and a second round pick in the 2018 entry draft. Major Series Lacrosse
Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is a Senior A box lacrosse league based in Ontario, Canada sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Most of the star players in the league play or have played in the National Lacrosse League. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Western Lacrosse Association champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year. Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. The game was extensively modified by European colonists, reducing the violence, to create its current collegiate and professional form. Players use the head of the lacrosse stick to carry, pass, catch, and shoot the ball into the goal. The Peterborough Stars were a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Peterborough, Ontario, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. All players from Peterborough that remain junior eligible will have their player cards sent to the Lindsay Muskies as the Stars merged into the Lindsay Muskies. The Lindsay Muskies are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. History The Muskies started out in the Central Junior C Hockey League. In 1989, the team jumped to the Central Junior "B" and stayed with the league when it became the OPJHL in 1993. The Lakefield Chiefs are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association until the 2016-17 season when this league became the Orr Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League History The Lakefield Chiefs emerged in the late 1970s as members of the Eastern Junior D Hockey League.
