Bryce Soderberg
Bryce Dane Soderberg (born April 10, 1980) is a Canadian-American musician and songwriter, best known as the bassist and vocalist for American rock band Lifehouse. Early life Soderberg was born in Victoria, British Columbia, and raised outside Victoria in the Municipality of Sooke. He started playing bass at a young age and developed his musicianship mostly in his basement with his brothers. He graduated from St. Michaels University School then after attending two years of College in Quebec, Canada, he moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 19 to pursue a professional career in music. In 2002, he joined Elektra recording artists AM Radio, under the management of Rivers Cuomo. After Elektra Records folded, AM Radio disbanded. During this time, as a vocalist/songwriter he performed with The Celebrities, and Tomorrow And Everyday After. Lifehouse is an American rock music, rock band from Los Angeles comprising Jason Wade (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals), and Steve Stout (lead guitar). The band came to mainstream prominence in 2001 with the hit single "Hanging by a Moment" from their debut studio album ''No Name Face''. The song was number one for three weeks on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. ''Smoke & Mirrors'' is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Lifehouse. It was released on March 2, 2010, by Geffen Records. Lifehouse began to work on the album with record producer Jude Cole in the fall of 2008 at Cole's Ironworks Studio. The band collaborated with American singer-songwriter Kevin Rudolf and Chris Daughtry of the band Daughtry while working on the album. The album received mixed reviews from critics, and peaked at number six on the ''Billboard'' 200, selling 54,000 copies in its first week. It became the fourth highest debut album on the chart for the week of March 20, 2010. It also debuted at number 15 on the Canadian Albums Chart, which became its peak on the chart.
