''Bryan White'' is the debut studio album by the American country music singer of the same name. Released in late 1994 on Asylum Records, the album produced four singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. Content In order of release, these singles were "Eugene You Genius", "Look at Me Now", "Someone Else's Star", and "Rebecca Lynn"; the latter two songs were both Number One hits. Bryan Shelton White (born February 17, 1974) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Asylum Records in 1994 at age 20, White released his self-titled debut album that year. Both it and its follow-up, 1996's '' Between Now and Forever'', were certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and 1997's ''The Right Place'' was certified gold. His fourth album, 1999's ''How Lucky I Am'', produced two top 40 singles, with the song "God Gave Me You" eventually becoming a big hit in the Philippines. White has charted 17 singles on the '' Billboard'' country charts, of which four reached number one: "Someone Else's Star" in 1995, " Rebecca Lynn" and " So Much for Pretending" in 1996, and " Sittin' on Go" in 1997. "I Miss Her Missing Me", "William and Mary", and "Tyler" were all released as singles from this album; unlike the singles from his previous album, however, none of these reached Top 40 on the Hot Country Songs charts. James Dexter Weatherly (March 17, 1943 – February 3, 2021) was an American singer-songwriter who wrote mostly pop and country music. He played quarterback at the University of Mississippi while also writing music with his own bands. He subsequently chose songwriting over a football career. His notable songs include "The Need to Be" and " Midnight Train to Georgia". Early life Weatherly was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, on March 17, 1943. He attended Pontotoc High School, where he was an all-star quarterback for the school's football team. He also started writing songs and formed his own bands during this time. Lonnie Wilson is an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer, known primarily for his work in country music. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Wilson was originally the lead singer of the band Bandana, which charted ten singles on the Hot Country Songs charts between 1982 and 1986. Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950s in the United States, especially the Southern United States, South.
