Bryan Wagner (American Football)
Bryan Jeffrey Wagner (born March 28, 1962 in Escondido, California) is a former American football punter in the National Football League for the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and San Diego Chargers. He played college football at California State University, Northridge. Early years Wagner attended Hilltop High School. He began his collegiate career at California Lutheran University. He later transferred to California State University, Northridge, where he was the starter at quarterback and punter. Professional career After the 1985 NFL Draft, Wagner was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. He was also selected by the Baltimore Stars in the 15th round (216th overall) of the 1985 USFL Draft. He was waived by the Cowboys on August 27. In May 1986, he signed with the New York Giants. Punter (football)
A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Punters may also occasionally take part in fake punts in those same situations, when they throw or run the football instead of punting. Skills and usage The purpose of the punt is to force the team that is receiving the kick to start as far as possible from the kicking team's end zone. Maury Buford
Maury Anthony Buford (born February 18, 1960) is a former American football punter in the National Football League for the San Diego Chargers, the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants. Buford attended Texas Tech and was selected by the Chargers in the 1982 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl ring as a member of the 1985 Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XX. Stefan Govan Humphries (born January 20, 1962) is a former American football player. He played college football at the University of Michigan, principally as an offensive guard, from 1980 to 1983. Baltimore Stars
The Philadelphia / Baltimore Stars were a professional American football team which played in the United States Football League (USFL) in the mid-1980s. Owned by real-estate magnate Myles Tanenbaum, they were the short-lived league's dominant team, playing in all three championship games and winning the latter two.
