Bryan Schouten
Bryan Schouten (born 10 September 1994) is a Dutch former motorcycle racer who retired at the end of the 2017 season. Schouten is a former winner of the Dutch ONK 125GP Championship and the Dutch ONK Moto3 Championship, and has also competed in the German IDM 125GP Championship, the German IDM Moto3 Championship, the Spanish CEV Moto3 series and the European Superstock 600 Championship. He won the IDM Superstock 600 Championship in 2016, but even as a champion he could not find the resources to start in 2017. He decided to stop his career , however, less than a week later, Schouten returned to his decision when Ten Kate Racing Products approached him for testing the new Honda CBR-1000RR SP2 and started in the (Dutch) NK SuperCup 1000. After one season, Schouten has decided to start his social career at the age of 23 years. Zevenbergen
Zevenbergen is a Dutch city which is a part of the municipality of Moerdijk. Zevenbergen is located in the northwest of the province of North Brabant near Breda. History Zevenbergen (literal translation: Seven Mountains) is presumably named after the hills that formed a natural barrier of protection during the time of the Roman Empire. The actual number of hills is debatable however and was most likely not seven. Archeological excavations in 1964 and 1965 revealed that two of the hills were already present during the Bronze Age. From the mid-nineteenth century until the end of the twentieth century, Zevenbergen was most famous for its sugar production comprising three sugar factories. As a result of the sugar transport requirement, Zevenbergen got its railways, as well as the harbour located at the end of the "Mark" canal. The 2011 German motorcycle Grand Prix was the ninth round of the 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 15–17 July 2011 at the Sachsenring, located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany. The 125cc race was notable for producing a dead heat for first place between Héctor Faubel and Johann Zarco. After a photo finish could not separate the riders, Faubel was awarded first place on the basis that he set a faster laptime during the race. 2012 Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2012 Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix was the fifth round of the 2012 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the 17th Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix. It took place on the weekend of 1–3 June 2012 at the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmeló, Barcelona, Spain. The three classes of motorcycle racing which took place during the weekend were MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. Casey Stoner qualified on pole position in MotoGP, but it was his Repsol Honda teammate, Dani Pedrosa, who started in fifth place that took the lead at the first corner. Ben Spies was in second place for the first three laps, but slid off the track when challenging for the lead. The 2012 French motorcycle Grand Prix was the fourth round of the 2012 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 18–20 May 2012 at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, France. In a press conference on the Thursday before the race, Casey Stoner announced his retirement from the sport at the end of the season. He went on to finish third in the MotoGP race, handing the championship lead to Jorge Lorenzo, the race winner. 2012 Qatar Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2012 Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix was the first round of the 2012 MotoGP season. It was held at the Losail International Circuit near Doha in Qatar on 8 April 2012. It was contested over twenty-two laps. 2011 Valencian Community Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2011 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix was the last round of the 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 4–6 November 2011 at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo. It was the first race after the death of Marco Simoncelli in Sepang. It was the final race for the current formula in the premier (MotoGP) and lightweight classes (now known as Moto3). In the premier class, the 800cc engines would be replaced by 1000cc engines. Honda also would change motorcycles at the end of the season, as the Honda RC212V that débuted at the 2007 Qatar Grand Prix would be replaced by the RC213V for the following season. 2011 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2011 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix was the seventeenth round of the 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 21–23 October 2011 at the Sepang International Circuit, but the MotoGP race was red flagged and subsequently cancelled after two laps due to a serious accident involving Marco Simoncelli. Simoncelli fell while running fourth, his bike and body veering across the path of Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. Simoncelli was fatally struck in the head and chest by the two bikes. He was taken straight to the circuit's medical centre, but died of his injuries shortly thereafter. 2011 Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2011 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix was the fifteenth round of the 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 29 September–2 October 2011 at the Twin Ring Motegi, located in Motegi, Japan. The Grand Prix, originally scheduled for 24 April, was moved to 2 October due to the effects of the Tōhoku earthquake and the Fukushima I nuclear accidents. Due to concerns with possible radiation an independent survey of Motegi and the surrounding area was commissioned by FIM and Dorna Sports. That survey generated a preliminary report which stated "Based on the estimate dose it can be said by no doubt that the radiation risk during the race event is negligible." On 2 August the full report was received and the organisers stated that the race would take place as scheduled.
