''Bryan Roper (born 14 July 1993 in Glendale, AZ, United States), is an American International motorcycle trials rider. Biography In 2010 Roper finished 2nd in the NATC Expert series after being runner up to eventual winner Ray Peters at seven rounds. He switched to the Pro class for the final round in California, finishing in 5th place. His first full season in the NATC Pro class was 2011, a season in which he was consistent and finished 4th overall, his best ride being a 3rd place at the final round in Tennessee. He was selected as a member of the US Trial des Nations team alongside Karl Davis Jr, Eric Storz and Andrew Oldar. The event was held in Tolmezzo, Italy. 2012 was a similar story, 4th overall at seasons end with podium finishes at the California, Ohio and both Rhode Island events. Glendale () is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, located approximately northwest of Downtown Phoenix. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 248,325. History In the late 1800s the area that is now Glendale was all desert. William John Murphy, a native of New Hartford, New York, who resided in the town of Flagstaff in what was then the territory of Arizona, was in charge of building the Arizona Canal from Granite Reef to New River for the Arizona Canal Company. In 1885, he completed the canal, which would bring water to the desert land. Murphy was deep in debt, since he had agreed to be paid in Arizona Canal Company stock and bonds and land instead of cash. In 1887, Murphy formed the Arizona Improvement Company. His objective was to sell the land and water rights south of the canal. Motorcycle trials, also known as observed trials, often called simply trial/s (with or without the plural "s"), is a non-speed event on specialized motorcycles. The sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though there are participants around the globe. Modern trials motorcycles are distinctive in that they have evolved to become extremely lightweight, lack seating (they are designed to be ridden standing up) and have suspension travel that is short, relative to a motocross or enduro motorcycle. C Raymond Peters (born 29 October 1973 in Moreland, NY, United States), is an American International motorcycle trials rider. Peters won the NATC Expert National Championship ten times between 2004 and 2014. Peters is the current Beta USA Trials team Manager. Peters is currently team manager for the US Beta trials team. Biography In 1990 Peters won the NATC High School class and moved straight into the Pro class the following season. After moving up from the High School class, Peters put on a good performance in 1991, ending the season a creditable 9th place with a best of 5th in Pennsylvania. In 1992 he finished 6th in the series and was named as part of the US Trial des Nations team alongside Geoff Aaron, Cory Pincock and Ryan Young, to compete in the international event being held this year at Watkins Glen, Peters' home state. Patrick Smage (born 28 July 1990 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, United States), is an International motorcycle trials rider. Smage is eleven times United States NATC Trials Champion and is the current champion. Patrick rides with his brother Phil Smage on the Smage Brothers Riding Shows. They competed on the sixth season of America's Got Talent in the middle of 2011 and made the finals finishing in the Top 10. Biography Smage first won the NATC Pro Championship in 2007 and has dominated almost every year since. In 2010 he was knocked back into 2nd place by Cody Webb but then regained his title in 2011. At the start of the 2012 season, Smage won the El Trial de Espana event held by the SoCal trials association. In 2016 he was again knocked back into 2nd place by Marc Freixa. Daniel Blanc-Gonnet
Daniel Blanc-Gonnet (born July 27, 1994, in Portland, Oregon), is an American International motorcycle trials rider. Blanc-Gonnet was NATC National Trials Expert 125cc champion in 2011 and runner-up in the NATC Pro Championship in 2018. Biography In 2011 Blanc-Gonnet became the 125cc NATC National Champion after taking 5 wins out of the seven rounds. A move up to the Expert class was on the cards for 2012, and he made the most of it taking podiums in California, Ohio and both days at the end of season Rhode Island event. This was enough for 4th overall in the championship. Making a good start to the 2013 season, Blanc-Gonnet placed 2nd and 3rd in New York. When the series moved to Vermont a 3rd on day one was followed by a disappointing 8th on day two. Sherco
Sherco is a French motorcycle manufacturer, specialising in off-road motorbikes. Sherco are best known for their extremely popular trials bikes, although they also make enduro and supermoto bikes. The company was founded in 1998, and currently has two production facilities. A factory in Caldes de Montbui, Spain, some north of Barcelona is where the company's trials bikes are manufactured. Enduro and supermoto bikes are built at a factory in Nîmes, France. The name, Sherco, derives from the amalgamation of two words, Bultaco and Sherpa, that harks back to the company's origins. Gas Gas
Gas Gas is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer established in 1985 by Narcìs Casas and Josep Pibernat in Salt, Girona. The company specializes in off-road motorcycles for trials and enduro competitions. Gas Gas was purchased by KTM motorcycles in 2019. After the sale to KTM, Gas Gas's off-road models were purchased by Spanish motorcycle manufacturer Rieju. Company history In 1973, Narcìs Casas and Josep Pibernat began operating a Bultaco motorcycle franchise in Salt. FIM Trial European Championship
The FIM Trials European Championship is organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and has been held since 1992. The championship gives up and coming riders a chance to compete at international level against top class riders, many who have progressed to become champions in the FIM Trial World Championship such as current champion Toni Bou and past champions Dougie Lampkin and Adam Raga History The Inaugural championship was held in 1992 with a single class format. FIM Trial World Championship
The FIM Trial World Championship and FIM X-Trial World Championship are the most prestigious motorcycle trials tournaments of the world, organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. The outdoor championship is held since 1964 and the indoor (X-Trial) since 1993. From 1964 to 1967 the championship was named Challenge Henry Groutards. From 1968 to 1974, it was the Trial European Championship, and from 1975 onwards it has been known as the World Championship.
