Bryan Leininger
Bryan Leininger is a former US National Champion in judo. He competed in the Olympic festival as a preliminary to the Olympic trials in 1991.He typically competed in the over 209lbs division. Judo He was a national champion and a long time member of the US team. Leininger won a gold medal in the 1996 US National Championships in San Jose, California. He is the brother of Christophe Leininger as part of the "Flying Leininger Brothers". Hayward Nishioka
Hayward Nishioka is a Japanese-American community college physical education instructor and former judo competitor. Early life Nishioka was born in 1942, and lived some of his early years in the Manzanar internment camp. He started to learn judo at age 13 from his step father Dan Oka. Career Nishioka competed in Kata in the 1962 All-Japan National Championship. Nishioka won a Gold Medal for judo at the 1967 Pan American Games. He won five consecutive national championships from 1965 to 1970. He ranked 5th in the world in 1965 and 1967. He is a former world team member and world team coach for judo. He is known for his gripping skills and techniques. Nishioka currently teaches Judo at Los Angeles City College. On January 13, 1987, Rorion, Royler and Rickson Gracie came to Nishioka's judo school. Christophe Leininger
Christophe Leininger, is an American former judoka who was 1984, 1988, and 1992 US Olympic Judo Team Alternate. He was born in 1959. His brother Bryan Leininger was also a judo competitor. While his father Maurice was a French Judo champion. He is a two time US National Judo Champion and a two time US Judo open champion. He competed in a number of mixed martial arts fights included in Ultimate Fighting Championship. Career Ultimate Fighting Championship Leininger made his debut in Ultimate Fighting Championship's UFC 3 event, being billed as the second ranked American judoka in his weight class at the time. Going against shoot wrestler Ken Shamrock, Leininger started by trying a morote gari, but Shamrock protected against it and ended up in Christophe's guard.
