Alfred Brunson
Alfred Brunson (February 9, 1793 – August 3, 1882) was an American Methodist circuit rider, lawyer, and territorial legislator. Born in Danbury, Connecticut, Brunson served in the War of 1812. Brunson was a Methodist church circuit rider in Ohio and Pennsylvania. In 1835, he moved to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Prairie du Chien, Michigan Territory and was a Methodist circuit rider. He studied law and was admitted to the Wisconsin bar in 1839. He served in the Wisconsin Territorial House of Representatives of the Wisconsin Territorial Legislature from 1840 to 1841 as a Whig Party (United States), Whig. During the American Civil War, Brunson served as a chaplain of the 31st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He retired from the ministry in 1871. He also wrote including his autobiography. Andrew Craig Brunson (born January 3, 1968) is an American pastor and a teaching elder of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Brunson was an evangelical pastor of the Izmir Resurrection Church, a small Protestant church with about 24 congregants. Benjamin Wetherill Brunson
Benjamin Wetherill Brunson (1823–1898) was an American surveyor and politician who served in the Minnesota Territorial Legislature, Minnesota Territorial House of Representatives from 1849 until 1852. He was one of the original platters of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Biography Brunson was born in 1823 in Detroit. His father, Alfred Brunson, was a prominent Methodist preacher. In 1835, the Brunsons moved to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Prairie du Chien, then a part of Michigan Territory. Brunson came to Saint Paul, Minnesota, Saint Paul in 1847 and assisted his brother, Ira B. Brunson, in platting the city for the first time. He would then serve in the Minnesota Territorial House of Representatives for the first and second sessions. In 1855, the Benjamin Brunson House was built. It was built in a federal style and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is one of the oldest surviving houses in Saint Paul. Doyle F. Brunson (born August 10, 1933) is a retired American poker player who played professionally for over 50 years. He is a two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion, a Poker Hall of Fame inductee, and the author of several books on poker. Brunson was the first player to win $1 million in poker tournaments. Rebekkah Brunson (born December 11, 1981) is an American basketball coach, currently an assistant coach with the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Brunson is a former forward for the Lynx and is the only player to win 5 WNBA championships. She held the WNBA record for rebounding, which she ceded to Lynx's center Sylvia Fowles in 2020. Todd Alan Brunson (born August 7, 1969) is an American professional poker player and the son of poker player Doyle Brunson. Doyle Brunson did not teach Todd how to play; it was not until he was studying law at Texas Tech University that he learned how to play on his own. Before his senior year, he dropped out of school to turn professional. Most of Brunson's years as a poker player have been spent playing cash games.
