Bruno Pavelić
Brunislav "Bruno" Pavelić ( sr-cyr, Брунислав "Бруно" Павелић; 4 March 1937 – 28 September 2021), was a Serbian basketball player. Playing career Pavelić grew up playing basketball with KK Lokomotiva Zemun. Also, he occasionally played football in FK Jedinstvo Zemun with Vladica Popović. Eventually, under the influence of coach Miomir Lilić he decided to go further with basketball. In 1954, he joined newly established club Mladost Zemun. In 1956, he moved to KK Proleter Kreka where he played for two seasons before he went to serve compulsory military service in the Yugoslav People's Army. Pavelić played for OKK Beograd under Bora Stanković and Aleksandar Nikolić during the 1960s. At the time, his teammates were Radivoj Korać, Slobodan Gordić, Miodrag Nikolić, and Trajko Rajković among others. He won three Yugoslav League championships and two Yugoslav Cups. The Yugoslav Basketball Cup ( sh, Kup Jugoslavije u košarci / ) was the men's national basketball cup of Yugoslavia between its inauguration 1959 and 2002. It was held in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia between 1959 and 1991 and in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia between 1992 and 2002. In 2002, FR Yugoslavia changed its name to Serbia and Montenegro while the cup got renamed to the Radivoj Korać Cup. 1963 Yugoslav First Basketball League
The 1963 Yugoslav First Basketball League season was the 19th season of the Yugoslav First Basketball League. The season ended with OKK Beograd winning the league championship, ahead of KK Partizan. The season began during June 1963 following the end of the 1963 FIBA World Championship in Brazil where the Yugoslav national team won silver, its first-ever medal at the FIBA World Championship. The national team success led to an increased level of interest in basketball throughout the country as the public eagerly awaited another showdown between the main title contenders — OKK Beograd led by twenty-four-year-old power forward Radivoj Korać and KK Olimpija whose on-court leader was twenty-five-year-old point guard Ivo Daneu. Ante Pavelić
Ante Pavelić (; 14 July 1889 – 28 December 1959) was a Croatian politician who founded and headed the fascist ultranationalist organization known as the Ustaše in 1929 and served as dictator of the Independent State of Croatia ( hr, links=no, Nezavisna Država Hrvatska, NDH), a fascist puppet state built out of parts of occupied Yugoslavia by the authorities of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, from 1941 to 1945. Pavelić and the Ustaše persecuted many racial minorities and political opponents in the NDH during the war, including Serbs, Jews, Romani, and anti-fascists, becoming one of the key figures of the genocide of Serbs, the Porajmos and the Holocaust in the NDH. The Commemorative Medal of the Partisans of 1941 ( sh, Partizanska Spomenica 1941 / Партизанска Споменица 1941, sl, Partizanska spomenica 1941) is a commemorative Yugoslav medal instituted on 14 September 1944, awarded to those actively involved in leading the Partisan National Liberation Army or political units between 1941 and the end of World War II. Between 1941 and 1945, the numbers of recorded active soldiers of the Partisan National Liberation Army fighting rose from 81,000 to over 800,000 across Yugoslavia. Pinki Cultural and Sports Center ( sr-Cyrl, Културно спортски центар Пинки), commonly known as Pinki Hall ( sr-Cyrl, Хала Пинки), is an indoor multi-sports venue located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun, Serbia. The venue has an indoor hall and an indoor swimming pool. The hall has a seating capacity of 2,300 for sports events and around 5,000 for concerts. Opened on 21 October 1974, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Zemun being liberated from the Nazis and their puppet state Independent State of Croatia, the hall has hosted various basketball, handball, and volleyball teams.
