Bruno Fitipaldo
Bruno Fitipaldo Rodríguez (born August 2, 1991) is an Uruguayan-Italian professional basketball player for Iberostar Tenerife of the Liga ACB. Standing at a height of , he plays at the point guard and shooting guard positions. Professional career South America Fitipaldo began his professional career in the 2006–07 season, with the Uruguayan League's Club Malvín, in the city of Montevideo. During his time in the Uruguayan League of basketball, he became the club's local idol, due to his great performances. In the 2010–11 season, Fitipaldo won the Uruguayan national league title with his team, as he averaged 8.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, in 41 games played. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. 2010 FIBA South American Championship
The 2010 South American Basketball Championship was the 44th edition of the South American Basketball Championship. Eight teams featured the competition, held in Neiva, Colombia from 26 to July 31 in the Coliseo Álvaro Sánchez Silva. Argentina was the defending champion, but lost in the final to Brazil. The first three places qualified for the basketball tournament at the 2011 Pan American Games and to the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship, the latter of which doubled as the FIBA Americas qualifier for the 2012 Olympics. Because Argentina, which automatically qualified for the FIBA Americas Championship as host, finished in an automatic qualifying spot, the fourth-place team was also invited to that competition.
