Bruksvallarna
Bruksvallarna is a village situated in Härjedalen Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden. Its relatively high altitude, 720 meters, provides a long ski season. Bruksvallsloppet, an international Cross-country skiing competition, is held annually in Bruksvallarna during the month of November. The village had 95 inhabitants in 2010. Bruksvallarna Chapel was inaugurated on 2 September 1978. The chapel has a stand-alone bell tower erected in 1980. Cross-Country Skiing World Cup
The FIS Cross-Country World Cup is an annual Cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1981. The competition was arranged unofficially between 1973 and 1981, although it received provisional recognition on the 31st FIS Congress, 29–30 April 1977 in San Carlos de Bariloche, Bariloche, Argentina. The 1981–82 FIS Cross-Country World Cup, first World Cup races were held on 9 January 1982 and were located in Reit im Winkl, West Germany and Klingenthal, East Germany. Bill Koch (skier), Bill Koch of the United States and Berit Aunli of Norway were the overall winners in the first season. Rules Competitors attempt to achieve the most points during the season.
