Benedikt Brueckner
Benedikt Brueckner (born January 1, 1990) is a German professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for Schwenninger Wild Wings in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Brueckner has previously played in the DEL with Adler Mannheim and the Straubing Tigers The Straubing Tigers are a professional men's ice hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany, that competes in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Straubing plays its home games at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm, which has a capacity of 5,800 spectators. ... Georg F Brueckner
Georg Frederic Brueckner (30 July 1930 - 30 December 1992) was a German martial arts pioneer and inventor of fighting sports gear used for boxing, kickboxing and other pugilistic sports. He died in Berlin aged 62. Martial arts career In 1952 he began practicing martial arts and studied judo, karate, jujutsu. In 1961 he opened his first karate dojo in Wilmersdorf, West-Berlin. When Mike Anderson and Hans Vierthaler opened the first Taekwondo sports club in Garmisch Partenkirchen in January 1963 he started studies in Taekwondo. He and Vierthaler became the first Germans to receive black belt diplomas from Korean Grandmaster Choi Hong Hi. Starting in 1974 Bruckner promoted the first kickboxing and martial arts shows in Europe which earned him recognition as the "Father of European Kickboxing". Guenter Brueckner
Guenter E. Brueckner (1934–1998) was a solar physicist who spent much of his career at the US Naval Research Lab. His life's efforts included research into aspects of the sun relevant to radio signal quality, terrestrial weather, space weather and applications of plasmas such as in fusion energy. He is known for work on coronal mass ejections; various innovations in solar observing optical systems, in particular the Skylab mission, design and development (with John-David F. Bartoe) of the Solar Ultraviolet Spectral Irradiance Monitor (SUSIM) on the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS); and for being the principal investigator for the LASCO instrument. Keith Brueckner
Keith Allen Brueckner (March 19, 1924 – September 19, 2014) was an American theoretical physicist who made important contributions in several areas of physics, including many-body theory in condensed matter physics, and laser fusion. Biography Brueckner was born in Minneapolis on March 19, 1924. He earned a B.A. and M.A. in mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1945 and 1947 and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1950. He died on September 19, 2014 at the age of 90. After completing his Ph.D. he joined the physics faculty at Indiana University (1951–1955) and then at the University of Pennsylvania (1956–1959). In 1959, Brueckner was recruited by Roger Revelle to come to University of California, San Diego, where he became one of the founders of the Department of Physics.
