Bruce Roberts (curler)
Bruce Edward Roberts (June 23, 1942 – December 30, 2022) was an American curling, curler from Hibbing, Minnesota. Roberts won the and was a five-time United States men's curling champion (1966, 1967, 1976, 1977, 1984). Awards * United States Curling Association Hall of Fame: ** 1988 (as curler); ** 1994 (with all 1976 world champions team: third Joe Roberts (curler), Joe Roberts, second Gary Kleffman and lead Jerry Scott (curler), Jerry Scott). Personal life and death Bruce Roberts was employed as a primary school teacher. His younger brother, Joe Roberts (curler), Joe, was a curler too and Bruce's teammate. Roberts lived in Orr, Minnesota, and attended Bemidji State University. He taught in Duluth and Nett Lake (CDP), Minnesota, Nett Lake. Roberts had two children. Scott Baird
Scott Baird (born May 7, 1951) is an American curler. At 54, he is the oldest American athlete to ever participate in the Winter Olympics, which he did at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Despite this feat, Baird was only the alternate for Pete Fenson's U.S. team and did not throw a stone, although he still received a bronze medal. On January 16, 2007, the team was named the 2006 USOC Team of the Year. In addition to the Olympics, Baird has skipped the U.S. team to three World Championship events (1979, 1993 & 1994), winning bronze in 1993. Paul Pustovar (born December 17, 1951 in Chisholm, Minnesota) is an American curler from Hibbing, Minnesota. He is one of the most prolific curlers from the United States, with over thirty years of experience. He has earned two bronze medals at the World Curling Championships and has earned five gold medals, four silver medals, and one bronze medal in the twenty-five national championships that he has participated in. He is also a former world senior champion. Early life Pustovar studied at the University of Minnesota Duluth and earned his bachelor's degree in education.
