Bruce Mann (civil Servant)
Bruce Mann, a senior British civil servant, held roles in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Cabinet Office. Mann joined the MOD in 1979. He variously served as Director of European Policy, Director of Resources and Plans, and Director General (Financial Management). He became the official Head of the Civil Contingencies Secretariat of the Cabinet Office on 1 September 2004. Mann became Finance Director of the Cabinet Office in 2010, a role he held until 2015. Between 2012 and 2016, he also served as executive director of the Cabinet Office's Government Property Unit. Mann was appointed to the Board of the University of Plymouth in April 2017. Gregory Bruce Mann (publishes using the name G. Bruce Mann, sometimes abbreviated as GB Mann) is an Australian surgical oncologist. He is the Director of Breast Cancer Services at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, the largest specialist women's care hospital in Australia. A former president of COSA (the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia, the top national professional association for cancer care), Dr. Mann served previously as Director of Cancer Services and Infectious Medicine for the Melbourne Health Cancer Service, as Director of the award-winning Melbourne Health Combined Breast Service and is Director of Advanced Surgical Training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Bruce Mann (rugby League)
Bruce Mann (1926–2007) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played his entire career for Parramatta in the NSWRL competition. Early life Mann was born and raised in the Parramatta district and began playing rugby union at a young age culminating in playing with the Parramatta rugby union team before switching to rugby league. Playing career Mann made his debut for Parramatta in 1948, a year after the club was admitted into the competition. Mann spent 10 long seasons at Parramatta in which the club struggled on the field due to a lack of resources and playing talent with the bulk of the squad made up of amateur players and park footballers who had to compete against clubs like South Sydney, Newtown and St George who fielded representative players. Mann claimed 5 wooden spoons as a player with Parramatta during that time but stayed loyal to the club and was the first Parramatta player to reach 100 first grade matches ...
