Bruce Lindsey
Bruce R. Lindsey (born 1950/51) is an American lawyer and non-profit executive. He served in the White House during the Presidency of Bill Clinton. He was named in a lawsuit during the Whitewater controversy, and he testified before a grand jury regarding the sexual misconduct allegations surrounding Bill Clinton in the run-up to his impeachment. He is a partner of Wright, Lindsey & Jennings, a Little Rock, Arkansas-based law firm, and serves as chairman of the Clinton Foundation. Early life Lindsey received a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 1975. Career Lindsey worked for Senator J. Clinton–Lewinsky Scandal
The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal was a sex scandal involving Bill Clinton, the president of the United States, and Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern. Their sexual relationship lasted between 1995 and 1997. Clinton ended a televised speech in late January 1998 with the later infamous statement: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky." Further investigation led to charges of perjury and to the impeachment of Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives. He was subsequently acquitted on all impeachment charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in a 21-day U.S. Senate trial. Clinton was held in civil contempt of court by Judge Susan Webber Wright for giving misleading testimony in the Paula Jones case regarding Lewinsky, and was also fined $90,000 by Wright. Kenneth Winston Starr (July 21, 1946 – September 13, 2022) was an American lawyer and judge who authored the Starr Report, which led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton.
