Bruce Gordon (musician)
Bruce Gordon (born 1968 in London, England) is an English-born Canadian rock musician, best known as the bassist for I Mother Earth. He was born to parents of Scottish and German heritage. He immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of six. They first moved to Edmonton, Alberta but after only a year relocated to Oakville, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto. His exposure to bands such as the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and Bad Brains inspired him to pick up the bass guitar at the age of fifteen. He quickly took to the instrument and within a few months had joined a Toronto punk band called Intensive Chaos. Primarily self-taught, Gordon continued to play in a string of basement bands and soon graduated to the independent scene where he started playing local gigs with Jonathan Cummins (Bionic, Doughboys), and Cam and Brad Maclean in Circus Lupus. Bruce Gordon (February 1, 1916January 20, 2011) was an American actor best known for playing gangster Frank Nitti in the ABC television series ''The Untouchables''. His acting career ranged over a half century and included stage, movies, and a varied number of roles on the small screen. Early life Gordon was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. His first appearance on Broadway was in 1937 in the musical drama ''The Fireman’s Flame''. Bruce Gordon (born 4 February 1929 in Surry Hills, New South Wales) is an Australian businessman. He is the owner of the Australian television network, WIN Television through his ownership of WIN Corporation, the largest shareholder of Network 10 & the largest shareholder of the Nine Network, and holds a significant stake in Nine Entertainment Co. Career from humble beginning, Gordon juggled fruit to lure customers into his father's street-side fruit stall. He continued to hone his magic skills into his 20s and gained his first performance at Sydney's Tivoli circuit theatre; later progressing onto management of the theatre. Bruce Gordon (born 1962 in Canada) is Titus Street Professor of Ecclesiastical History at Yale Divinity School. Bruce Gordon (November 14, 1962 – September 29, 2017) served as Saskatoon Detective Sargeant for the Saskatoon Police Service in the Sex Crimes Unit as wells as Major Crime/Homicide Unit. Gordon was an all round athlete, Director of Investigations, and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College Of Law in 2016 shortly before his passing. Early life Gordon grew up on a farm near Marsden, Saskatchewan. Later years Gordon was a forward with the Saskatoon Blades and Medicine Hat Tigers, an active hockey player who became the Saskatoon Blades captain during the beginning of the 1980s. Gordon also coached midget hockey. Before his passing Gordon was honoured with a Bruce Gordon banner in the SaskTel Centre, and players adorned their hockey helmets with #BeLikeBruce stickers.
