Aaron Broussard
Aaron Francis Broussard (born January 6, 1949) is a former American politician who served as the president, a combined municipal-parish position, of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, from 2003 to 2010. A Democrat, Broussard became known nationally for appearances he made in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Early life and education Broussard was born in Marksville, the seat of Avoyelles Parish in south central Louisiana. He moved to Kenner, a city in Jefferson Parish, in 1958. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Orleans and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 1973. Career In 1974, Broussard was elected to the Jefferson Parish School Board and re-elected in 1976. In 1977, he was elected as a district chairman to the Jefferson Parish Council and re-elected in 1981. He successfully ran for mayor of Kenner in 1982, and he was reelected in 1986, 1990, and 1994. Ben Broussard
Benjamin Isaac Broussard (born September 24, 1976) is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He is currently a musician and Leadership Development Coordinator for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball . Broussard was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft. During a 7-year baseball career, he played from 2002 to 2008 for the Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners, and the Texas Rangers. Broussard has released two full-length music albums. The first, his self-titled album, was released in 2005. The second, ''Renovated'', was released in 2009. He was also featured on the album, '' Oh Say Can You Sing?'', a compilation of different Major League Baseball players singing their favorite songs. Allen Edgar Broussard (April 13, 1929 – November 5, 1996) was an American attorney who rose to become an associate justice of the California Supreme Court from July 22, 1981, to August 31, 1991. Biography Broussard was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the son of Clemire and Eugenia Broussard. At the age of sixteen, he moved with his family to California, where his father was a longshoreman, and his mother worked as a seamstress. His parents were of Creole ancestry. Joseph Broussard (1702–1765), also known as Beausoleil ( en, Beautiful Sun), was a leader of the Acadian people in Acadia; later Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. Broussard organized a Mi'kmaq and Acadian militias against the British through King George's War, Father Le Loutre's War and during the French and Indian War. After Acadia was captured by the British, he eventually led the first group of Acadians to southern Louisiana in present-day United States. Alley Joseph Broussard III (born September 6, 1983) is a former college football running back for the LSU Tigers football team of Louisiana State University, and the Missouri Southern Lions football team of Missouri Southern State University.
