Brookwood Baptist Health
Brookwood Baptist Health is a network of hospitals, outpatient centers and clinics headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. It is owned by Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare. The system is the result of a merger between Brookwood Medical Center and Baptist Health System. As Baptist Health System Baptist Health System was founded in 1922 by the Birmingham Baptist Association. The nonprofit organization's first hospital was Birmingham Baptist Hospital, now known as Princeton Baptist Medical Center. The hospital merged with Montclair Hospital to form Baptist Health System. It was one of the largest healthcare providers in Alabama since the 1950s through the mid-2000s. Jasper, Alabama
Jasper is a city in and the county seat of Walker County, Alabama, United States. Its population was 14,352 as of the 2010 census. Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero, Jasper was settled around 1815 and incorporated on August 18, 1886. The first significant growth of the area was in 1886, when the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad and the Sheffield & Birmingham Railroads were completed through Jasper. Alabaster is a city and southern suburb of Birmingham in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 33,284. Alabaster is the 16th largest city in Alabama by number of residents. Geography Alabaster is located at (33.231162, −86.823829). Alabaster mostly occupies the Cahaba and Opossum valleys, which are divided by the Pine Ridge that runs north to south. Sylacauga is a city in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 12,578. Sylacauga is known for its fine white marble bedrock. This was discovered shortly after settlers moved into the area and has been quarried ever since. The marble industry was the first recorded industry in the Sylacauga area.
