Brook is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England, centred east-northeast of the town of Ashford. Geography Brook is in a gently rolling valley top immediately south of the North Downs. Brook House Immigration Removal Centre is a privately managed detention centre, operated by Serco on behalf of Home Office. The facility is situated in the grounds of Gatwick Airport, Crawley, West Sussex. Brook House opened in March 2009 as a newly built facility with a capacity of 448 detainees, which increased to 508 in 2017. The facility is built to a Category B security level. Brook House is built near to the immigration removal centre at Tinsley House, also at Gatwick and currently operated by Serco. The Brook Islands National Park is a national park in Cassowary Coast Region, Queensland, Australia, 1246 km northwest of Brisbane, with an area of 0.9 km2. It was established in 1994 and comprises three islands (North, Tween and Middle) which lie off the coast 7 km north-east of Cape Richards on Hinchinbrook Island and 30 km east of the nearest mainland town of Cardwell. The fourth island of the Brooks group, South Island, is not part of the national park but is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. Public access to the three islands in the national park is prohibited in order to protect breeding birds, especially the Torresian imperial-pigeon. __NOTOC__ Brook is a hamlet in the civil parish of Witley in the Waverley district in south-west Surrey. It is in the far west of Wormley, beyond Sandhills with which it avoids being contiguous due to a narrow, partly woodland buffer. Brook straddles the A286 single carriageway road between Milford and Haslemere. On slightly lower slopes of the Greensand Ridge than to the south, Brook is almost wholly within the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. Amenities Pirrie Hall, a community hall, dates from May 1923. It was built and donated by Lord Pirrie K.P.
