Bronson Murray
Bronson Murray (born 6 November 1982) is a New Zealand rugby union player. A prop, Murray last played provincial rugby for Bay of Plenty and notably Northland in the National Provincial Championship. Playing career Provincial Rugby A former New Zealand Under 21 international, Murray broke into the Northland provincial side in 2002 and has remained a fixture there for nearly a decade. Originally a loosehead prop, he converted to tighthead in 2007 and can play on either side of the scrum. Murray signed with Canterbury as part of his Super 14 move to the Crusaders in 2009, but the transaction was essentially on paper only as he was immediately loaned back to Northland. At the conclusion of the 2010 ITM Cup, Murray sat only 4 caps away from 100 for Northland, but the province's financial problems saw him leave to sign with Bay of Plenty for the 2011 ITM Cup. Kaitaia ( mi, Kaitāia) is a town in the Far North District of New Zealand, at the base of the Aupouri Peninsula, about 160 km northwest of Whangārei. 2008 Pacific Nations Cup
The 2008 Pacific Nations Cup was a rugby union tournament held between six national sides on the Pacific Rim: Australia A, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand Māori (just for this year). The inaugural competition was held in 2006. This year the tournament started on 7 June and ended on 6 July 2008. The tournament is a round-robin where each team plays all of the other teams once. There are four points for a win, two for a draw and none for a defeat. There are also bonus points offered with one bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match and one bonus point for losing by 7 points or less. Hurricanes (rugby Union)
The Hurricanes ( ; formerly the Wellington Hurricanes) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Wellington that competes in Super Rugby. The Hurricanes were formed to represent the lower North Island, including the East Coast, Hawke's Bay, Horowhenua Kapiti, Manawatu, Poverty Bay, Wairarapa-Bush, Wanganui and Wellington unions. They currently play at Sky Stadium (formerly named Westpac Stadium), having previously played at the now-defunct Athletic Park. Clint Newland
Clint Newland is a New Zealand rugby union player. Career New Zealand Newland was born in Dannevirke and attended New Plymouth Boys' High School as a boarder. In 1999, he made his provincial debut for Hawke's Bay against Poverty Bay in the NPC. He played in the NZ Divisional XV from 2002 to 2005 when the competition was revised to increase the number of NPC teams. He played in every match until 2007 when he was served a 10-week ban for knocking out Wellington prop Neemia Tialata. In 2008, he won selection to the Super Rugby squad. He was also selected for the NZ Māori team, but played just one game before a shoulder injury ruled him out of successive matches. Jamie Mackintosh
Jamie Mackintosh (born 20 February 1985) is a New Zealand professional rugby union player currently playing for the Austin Gilgronis in Major League Rugby (MLR). He previously played for Section Paloise in the French Top 14 competition. He was also selected for the All Blacks 2008 End of year tour to travel to Hong Kong and Britain. Mackintosh grew up in Fortrose, 50 minutes south east of Invercargill and played for the Tokanui Rugby Club's junior sides. He attended Southland Boys' High School. Domestic career Southland Jamie Mackintosh played his first match for Southland in 2004 when he came off the bench against Waikato. 2010 Super 14 Season
The 2010 Super 14 season kicked off in February 2010 with pre-season matches held from mid-January. It finished on 29 May. The 2010 season was the fifth and last season of the expanded Super 14 format. The schedule, which covers 3½ months, featured a total of 94 matches, with each team playing one full round-robin against the 13 other teams, two semi-finals and a final.
