Broken Compass
''Broken Compass'' is the debut record from Sleepwave through Epitaph Records. This is also the first full release for lead singer Spencer Chamberlain since the breakup of his previous band Underoath, before they got back together. Background Chamberlain announced the formation of his new band in September 2013. The first track from the album was released on October of that year, "Rock And Roll Is Dead And So Am I". The album was produced by David Bendeth, whose credits include that of Bring Me the Horizon and Of Mice & Men. In an interview with Under the Gun Chamberlain said, "...I feel like when the record comes out things will change. Everyone that has supported us so far has been 100% in, they love what we’re up to. It’s something new, something fresh. It’s not me trying to relive my past or regurgitate something I’ve already done a million times." Sleepwave is a rock band based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. It was founded in 2013 by vocalist Spencer Chamberlain after the dissolution of Underoath. Chamberlain brought in longtime friend Stephen Bowman, and the band signed with Epitaph Records. Shortly after, the duo announced their debut album, ''Broken Compass''. Their song, "Through the Looking Glass", peaked at number 37 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock chart following its release in July 2014. History Underoath announced their plans to disband during the fall of 2012. Chamberlain said of the disbanding, "It's sad to say that we feel like it's time to close this chapter, but we have never seen things more clearly. Aaron Marsh
Aaron Marsh is an American musician and record producer from Lakeland, Florida. He first gained prominence as the lead singer, guitarist and pianist for the Florida-based indie rock band Copeland, who formed in 2000. Marsh has since gone on to numerous production projects, co-producing his own band's studio albums usually along with either Matt Goldman or Aaron Sprinkle. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University.
