Postcards (TV Series)
''Postcards'' is an Australian holiday and travel television series on the Nine Network. History There were originally three different versions of ''Postcards'', each produced and broadcast within its specific city or market. In 1995, Adelaide's Nine Network produced their first series. It promoted holiday spots within South Australia, encouraging viewers to travel within their state. Soon after, the Nine Network in Melbourne launched their own state-based version and Nine Network in Perth followed in 1999 with ''Postcards WA''. In 2007, WIN Television purchased Nine Network in Adelaide and Perth. The Perth-based ''Postcards WA'' was then renamed ''Postcards Australia'' and expanded to cover more parts of the country, using reporters positioned across the WIN network, and in 2011 they axed the original Adelaide-based ''Postcards SA''. ''Nine News'' (stylised ''9News'') is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia. Its flagship program is the hour-long 6:00 pm state bulletin, produced by Nine's owned-and-operated stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin. National bulletins also air on weekday mornings, weekend afternoons and most nights of the week after 10:30pm. ''Hole in the Wall'' was an Australian television game show hosted by Jules Lund, based on the Japanese game show ''Brain Wall''. In the show, contestants are required to fit though holes in a polystyrene wall that moves towards them. Produced by FremantleMedia, the show began airing on the Nine Network from 6 August 2008. Format The show follows a similar format as the British version, and uses the same music package. Each episode features two teams consisting of three celebrity contestants, with each team competing for a charity. The contestants, fitted with hard hats and spandex, stand on a rectangular strip called the "Play Area" as a polystyrene wall moves towards them. The aim is to assume a position that will best allow their bodies to fit through a shape or a number of shapes cut into the wall. ''20 to One'' (known as ''20 to 1'' before 2016) is an Australian television series on the Nine Network from 2005, that counts down an undefined "top 20" of elements or events of popular culture, such as films, songs, or sporting scandals. The format mixes archival footage of the listed events with comments from various Australian celebrities. Originally the show was hosted by Bud Tingwell and narrated by David Reyne; the pair were replaced by Bert Newton as host for the second season. The series was rebooted by the Nine Network and returned for its eleventh season on 31 May 2016 with new hosts, Australian radio presenters Fitzy and Wippa.
