Brochant (Paris Métro)
Brochant () is a station on Line 13 of the Paris Métro. Located in the 17th arrondissement, it is situated under the Avenue de Clichy at Rue Brochant, from which the station derives its name. It is part of the line's northwestern branch toward Les Courtilles, and is the only station of the line that has the ''Dir-on Porte de Clichy'' inscription at the north end of the station. Location The station is located under Avenue de Clichy, north-west of the intersection of Rue Brochant. Oriented along a north-west/south-east axis and located on the branch towards Les Courtilles, it is positioned between the Porte de Clichy and La Fourche metro stations, the latter marking the beginning of a shared trunk line. The Paris Métro (french: Métro de Paris ; short for Métropolitain ) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. A symbol of the Paris, city, it is known for its density within the capital's territorial limits, uniform architecture and Paris Métro entrances by Hector Guimard, unique entrances influenced by Art Nouveau. Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Side platforms may result in a wider overall footprint for the station compared with an island platform where a single width of platform can be shared by riders using either track. The Parc Clichy-Batignolles or Parc Clichy-Batignolles - Martin Luther King is a green space in Paris' 17th arrondissement (district). It is part of the urban development project, which started in 2001, transforming of land formerly occupied by freight yards for the French railway company SNCF. The name of the park is derived from: proximity to the site of a nineteenth century Porte de Clichy, a gate in Paris' Thiers wall that opened to the commune of Clichy, Hauts-de-Seine; proximity to the former SNCF Batignolles station; and a tribute to the legacy of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. Within the larger Clichy Batignolles project, the Parc Clichy-Batignolles - Martin Luther King will eventually cover , of which had been opened to the public by 2014. Cité Des Fleurs
The ''Cité des Fleurs'' is a pedestrian street in the épinettes district in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. This small village in the city remained very picturesque with small size buildings and gardens, with each building and plot following strict building guidelines. The site was created in 1847 by two landowners and is organized around a 320 meters long pedestrian way. Small houses and ''Hôtel particulier, hôtels particuliers'' are built on each side of the way. It was strongly influenced by the industrial neighbourhood: the :fr:Famille Goüin, Goüin family which owned a big industrial company owned a house for its employees. Noctilien
Noctilien is the night bus service in Paris and its agglomeration. It is managed by the Île-de-France Mobilités (formerly the STIF), the Île-de-France regional public transit authority, and operated by RATP (with 32 lines) and Transilien SNCF (with 16 lines). It replaced the previous '' Noctambus'' service on the night of 20/21 September 2005, providing for a larger number of lines than before and claiming to be better adapted to night-time transport needs. RATP Bus Network
The RATP bus network covers the entire territory of the city of Paris and the vast majority of its near suburbs. Operated by the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP), this constitutes a dense bus network complementary to other public transport networks, all organized and financed by Île-de-France Mobilités. Porte de Clichy () is a station on Line 13 and Line 14 of the Paris Métro and RER C, as well as a stop on Île-de-France tramway Line 3b. André-Jean-François-Marie Brochant de Villiers (6 August 177216 May 1840) was a French mineralogist and geologist. Life He was born at the Château de Villiers, near Mantes-la-Ville. After studying at the École Polytechnique, Paris, he was in 1794 the first pupil admitted to the École des Mines. In 1804, he was appointed professor of geology and mineralogy in the École des Mines, which had been temporarily transferred to Pezay in Savoy, and he returned with the school to Paris in 1815. Later on, he became inspector general of mines and a member of the Academy of Sciences. He investigated the transition strata of the Tarentaise Valley, Tarantaise, wrote on the position of the granite rocks of Mont Blanc, and on the lead minerals of Derbyshire and Cumberland, England, Cumberland.
