Broadside (band)
Broadside is a pop punk band from Richmond, Virginia. They were signed to Victory Records, and now signed to SharpTone Records, and were listed as one of the ''100 Artists You Need To Know'' in 2015 by Alternative Press. By 2015, Broadside had no original members left in the band. History Formed in 2010, Broadside have shared the stage with bands such as the Ataris, A Loss for Words, Such Gold, Title Fight, Forever Came Calling, and Polar Bear Club. In June 2011 the band self-released their five-song EP, ''Far From Home'', which was then re-recorded in 2012 with five additional tracks to become their first full-length album by the same name and put out on independent Japanese record label Ice Grill$ Records. In January 2013 the band announced they had recruited Ollie Baxxter as their new lead vocalist. Victory Records
Victory Records is a Chicago-based record label founded by Tony Brummel. It operates a music publishing company called "Another Victory, Inc." and is the distributor of several record labels. It has featured many prominent artists including Thursday, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Streetlight Manifesto, and A Day to Remember. In September 2019, years after buying part of the label's catalogue, Concord bought Victory Records and Another Victory for $30 million. Craft Recordings has been managing Victory Record’ catalog since Concord acquired the label. Victory has since not signed any new bands or released new records. SharpTone Records is an American independent record label started on September 11, 2013. The label was founded by Nuclear Blast CEO Markus Staiger and former vice president of Sumerian Records Shawn Keith. The label's roster includes an amalgamation of metalcore and rock bands: Don Broco, Loathe, Miss May I, We Came as Romans, Of Mice & Men, Holding Absence, Story of the Year, August Burns Red, Polaris, Currents, Crystal Lake, Emmure, and The Gloom In The Corner. Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. The Ataris are an American punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana. Formed in 1996, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007. Their best-selling album is ''So Long, Astoria'' (2003), which was certified gold. Their high-charting single is the cover song "The Boys of Summer (song), The Boys of Summer" from ''So Long, Astoria''. The only constant member throughout their history has been singer/songwriter/guitarist Kristopher Roe. A Loss For Words
A Loss for Words (formerly Last Ride) was an American pop punk band from Abington, Massachusetts. History Early years (1999–2004) Matty Arsenault and Danny Poulin from Lions Lions started a new band, Last Ride Pony Rides and, in 1999, it would soon feature Kreg Dudley, Chris Murphy, and Evan Cordeiro. The band had five names listed in a notebook before they changed it, and one of the names was A Loss for Words. The band would change its name to A Loss for Words after attending a minister's service. Mike Adams was soon drafted to play bass after the original bass player had no desire to play in front of people. Marc Dangora, from MAFFUMPH, joined in 2004. Such Gold is an American punk rock band from Rochester, New York, United States, currently consisting of Ben Kotin on guitar and vocals, Nate Derby on guitar, Jon Markson on bass and vocals and Matt Covey on drums. History Such Gold formed officially in 2009, and self-released ''Demo 2009'' in the Spring of that year. Forever Came Calling is an American pop punk band from Twentynine Palms, California. History The band formed in the year 2006 as a Senses Fail and Taking Back Sunday cover band. After multiple line up changes, John Swaba joined as bassist. They then recorded and released their EP, HopE P.assion. They were featured on the documentary, No Room For Rockstars which helped them gain fame. They released their first split EP with Handguns, in 2011 with Bryce on Drums. In 2012 they released their first full-length album, Contender and soon after got a new guitarist, Isaac Taylor.They released second split EP with Family Thief, in 2013. Polar Bear Club was an American post-hardcore band from Rochester and Syracuse in upstate New York. Formed in 2005, the band underwent multiple line-up changes, with vocalist Jimmy Stadt and lead guitarist Chris Browne as the only consistent members. The band released four studio albums and toured internationally before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2015.
