Brittany McPhee (born 12 January 1996) is an American professional basketball player. College career McPhee began her college career at Stanford University in Stanford, California for the Cardinal. During her time at Stanford, McPhee achieved several accolades from a range of platforms and the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I. This included the 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team and 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. Guard (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Over time, as more specialized roles developed, each of the guards and forwards came to be differentiated, and today each of the five positions are known by unique names, each of which has also been assigned a number: point guard (PG) or 1, the shooting guard (SG) or 2, the small forward (SF) or 3, the power forward (PF) or 4, and the center (C) or 5. Women's National Basketball League
The Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is the pre-eminent professional women's basketball league in Australia. It is currently composed of eight teams. The league was founded in 1981 and is the women's counterpart to the National Basketball League (NBL). Several WNBL teams have NBL counterparts. The 2017–18 Stanford Cardinal women's basketball team represented Stanford University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.
