Britannica International School Budapest
Britannica International School, Budapest was founded in 1994 and is the longest established British School in Hungary. The educational programme is based on the National Curriculum for England suitably enhanced to reflect the school’s truly international nature. The school located in District XII in the Buda Hills has a diverse student population with 46 nationalities between the ages of 5-18. Hegyvidék (german: Bergland, literally "''Highlands''", or "''Mountain-land''") is the official name of the XII district of Budapest ( hu, Budapest XII. kerülete), capital of Hungary. It is a region of Buda, on the west bank of river Danube. Geography Being the only district in Buda which has not got a connection to the river Danube, it lies on the green, hilly suburban area of Budapest. It borders 2nd district to the north, the 1st district (Castle district and Gellérthegy) to the east and 11th district (Kelenföld and Sashegy) to the south. Its western border marks the border of the whole city as well. ''Hegyvidék'' is said to be the lung of Budapest, as it gives place to many of the untouched green forests of the city and it also houses the highest hill of the entire urban area, János Hill (527 m above sea level). World Scholar's Cup
The World's Scholar Cup (abbreviated WSC) is an international team academic program with more than 15,000 students participating from over 65 countries every year. The program was founded by DemiDec, in particular by Daniel Berdichevsky, in 2006. First taking place in South Korea in 2007 at the Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies, the World Scholar's Cup aims to teach students with interesting, not-taught-in-schools lesson, and finding common ground between people of different statuses. Tournament format A team for the World Scholar's Cup is generally composed of three students from the same or different schools, however teams of two or mixed-school teams are permitted too. Teams may participate in any regional round. If teams are unable to attend a regional round, but would still like to participate in the Global Round, they may qualify for a wildcard.
