Brit Awards 2019 was the 39th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music show, the Brit Awards. It was held on 20 February 2019 at The O2 Arena in London, with Jack Whitehall as the host for the second year running. Architect David Adjaye designed the BRIT statuette. BBC Radio 1, Live Lounge and Top of the Pops host Clara Amfo hosted the BRITs Are Coming Nominations Launch Show on 12 January 2019. Clara Amfo and Alice Levine were live from the Red Carpet before the Main Show on ITV2. Hugh Jackman opened the ceremony with a song from ''The Greatest Showman'' soundtrack, and Pink closed the ceremony. Jack Whitehall
Jack Peter Benedict Whitehall (born 7 July 1988) is an English comedian, actor, presenter and writer. He is known for starring as JP in the series ''Fresh Meat (TV series), Fresh Meat'' (2011–2016) and Alfie Wickers in the series ''Bad Education (TV series), Bad Education'' (2012–2014, 2022–present) and its spin-off film ''The Bad Education Movie'' (2015). He also co-wrote the latter two. From 2012 to 2018, Whitehall was a regular panellist on the game show ''A League of Their Own (British game show), A League of Their Own''. British Phonographic Industry (BPI) is the British recorded music industry's Trade association. It runs the BRIT Awards, the Classic BRIT Awards, National Album Day, is home to the Mercury Prize, and co-owns the Official Charts Company with the Entertainment Retailers Association, and awards UK music sales through the BRIT Certified Awards. "Hold My Girl" is a song by English singer-songwriter George Ezra. The song was written by Ezra and Joel Pott, and produced by Cam Blackwood. It was initially released as the second promotional single from Ezra's second studio album '' Staying at Tamara's'' on 9 March 2018 but later selected to be the album's fourth single and released to radio on 28 September 2018.
