A variety of musical terms are likely to be encountered in printed scores, music reviews, and program notes. Most of the terms are Italian, in accordance with the Italian origins of many European musical conventions. Sometimes, the special musical meanings of these phrases differ from the original or current Italian meanings. ''Brio'' is an American teen magazine that ran from 1990 to 2009 and resumed in 2017. It is currently published bimonthly by the American evangelical Christian group Focus on the Family, and it was formerly edited by Susie Shellenberger. The magazine presents topics typical of other teen magazines (fashion and beauty tips, music, and culture) from an evangelical Christian perspective. Focus on the Family also formerly published a version for teen boys, called ''Breakaway''. ''Brio and Beyond'' was a sister publication of ''Brio'' for older teen girls and young women, aged 16 to 21. It launched in October 2001 and was discontinued in 2009, along with the original Brio magazine. In May 2009, Shellenberger launched a new magazine titled '' Susie'', a successor to ''Brio'' without the involvement of Focus on the Family. Bree (Narnia)
Bree (short for Breehy-hinny-brinny-hoohy-hah) is a fictional character in C. S. Lewis's ''The Chronicles of Narnia''. He is one of the title characters and is featured prominently in '' The Horse and His Boy''. This was the book published fifth, but the book's events are chronologically third. Brio (TV Channel)
Brio is a Slovenian pay TV channel targeting female viewers 18–34. It was launched by Pro Plus as Pop Brio in September 2010 and replaced the former TV Pika. BRIO was a part of the first Slovenian subscription package, Pop Non Stop, which launched in September 2011. Six channels were offered in the package: Pop Kino, Pop Kino2, Pop Brio, Pop Fani, Pop Oto, and Pop Spot. In 2013, the package was discontinued along with the Kino2, Fani, and Spot channels; the other three became free-to-view. In 2014, Pop Brio became known as Brio. Brio (company)
Brio (stylized BRIO) is a wooden toy company founded in Sweden. The company was founded in the small town of Boalt, Scania, Götaland in 1884 by basket maker Ivar Bengtsson. For a long time the company was based in Osby, Scania, in southern Sweden. In 1908 Ivar's three sons took the company over and gave it the name "BRIO", which is an acronym for: BRöderna ('the brothers') Ivarsson (in) Osby. In 2006 BRIO moved its headquarters to Malmö, Scania. It is best known for its wooden toy trains, sold in Europe since 1958. Lekoseum In 1984, the company started the BRIO Lekoseum (from Swedish "leka", to play), a toy museum featuring the company's products and those of other companies (such as Barbie dolls and Märklin model railways), at the headquarters in Osby. Brio is a Canadian variation of a chinotto soft drink. Chinotto is a bittersweet flavoured carbonated soft drink originating in Italy in the 1930s. Brio is known to be a sweeter variant. Brio was created by three Italian immigrants in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1959—Elio Madonia, who immigrated to Canada in 1950 from Corleone, Sicily, and his partners Giuseppe Panacci and Angelo Pirrello that he had met during his time as an insurance salesman. The chinotto extract is imported from Italy, but bottled in Canada. It has become a popular beverage in Ontario, particularly among Italian immigrants, serving as a marker of identity for the Italian emigrant population in Canada.
