Brinkburn was a weatherboard- and corrugated-iron-built railway station in Northumberland on the Rothbury Branch built to serve the Healy Coate Colliery to which it was linked by a two-mile aerial ropeway. The next year the Northumberland Central Railway were authorised to construct a line from to Ford on the Berwick to Kelso line. They also were permitted to build a short branch line to Cornhill. Coquetdale
The River Coquet runs through the county of Northumberland, England, discharging into the North Sea on the east coast at Amble. It rises in the Cheviot Hills on the border between England and Scotland, and follows a winding course across the landscape ("Coquetdale").
