Brightness
Brightness is an attribute of visual perception in which a source appears to be radiating or reflecting light. In other words, brightness is the perception elicited by the luminance of a visual target. The perception is not linear to luminance, and relies on the context of the viewing environment (for example, see White's illusion). Brightness is a subjective sensation of an object being observed and one of the Color appearance model#Color appearance parameters, color appearance parameters of many color appearance models, typically denoted as Q. Brightness refers to how much light ''appears to shine'' from something. Records as the second single from their debut studio album, ''Talking Dreams'' (2013). The song became the group's second top 40 hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and their second top-ten hit on the Adult Top 40 chart. Composition "Bright" is written in the key of Gb Major, and follows a chord progression of Gb-Ebm-Cb-Db (I-vi-IV-V). The tempo of the song is 90 beats per minute. Brights Movement
The Brights movement is a social movement whose members since 2003 refer to themselves as Brights and have a worldview of philosophical naturalism. Most Brights believe that public policies should be based on science (a body of knowledge obtained and tested by use of the scientific method). Brights are likely to oppose the practice of basing public policies on supernatural doctrines. Brights may therefore be described as secularists.
