''Bright Like Neon Love'' is the debut studio album by Australian electronic music band Cut Copy, released by Modular Recordings in Australia on 5 April 2004 and in the United States on 18 May 2004. The album was released on vinyl for the first time on 20 April 2013 for Record Store Day, in a limited run of 4000 copies. Critical reception ''Bright Like Neon Love'' received widespread acclaim from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, the album received an average score of 81, based on nine reviews. ''NME'' compared the album to "''Technique''-era New Order fed through My Bloody Valentine's distortion pedals" and described it as "the album Daft Punk should have made". Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott (drums). The band achieved breakthrough success in 2008 with their second album, ''In Ghost Colours'', which included well-known singles " Lights & Music" and " Hearts on Fire". ''Technique'' is the fifth studio album by English electronic rock band New Order. Released on 30 January 1989 by Factory Records, the album was partly recorded on the island of Ibiza, and incorporates Balearic beat and acid house influences into the group's dance-rock sound. The album was influenced by the then growing acid scene, and Sumner's experiences at Shoom in London. It was also New Order's final studio album to be released under Factory Records (though not their final Factory release, that being the following year's "World in Motion"). ''Technique'' was the first New Order album to reach number one on the UK charts, and "Fine Time", the first single from the album, reached number 11. Cassius was a French musical duo consisting of producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, better known as Zdar and Boombass (or sometimes Philippe Zdar and Hubert Boombass). Bennett Foddy is an Australian video game designer based in New York. Raised in Australia and trained as a moral philosopher on topics of drug addiction, Foddy was a bassist in the electronic music group Cut Copy and a hobbyist game designer while he finished his dissertation. During his postdoctoral research at Princeton University and time on staff at Oxford University, Foddy developed games of very high difficulty including ''QWOP'' (2008), which became an Internet sensation at the end of 2010 with the rise of new online social sharing tools. He later became an instructor at the NYU Game Center. Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the line-up for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. The Human League
The Human League are an English synth-pop band formed in Sheffield in 1977.
