Bridgestone–Anchor
Team Bridgestone Cycling () is a continental cycling team based in Japan that participates in UCI Continental Circuits races. The team's history can be traced back to 1964, but its current incarnation as the UCI registered road-racing team Team Bridgestone-Anchor started in 2008. For the 2012 season the team made a major change, adding several non-Japanese riders and running half their races outside Japan. For 2013, they signed Damien Monier, a French stage winner at the Giro d'Italia. During this period another Frenchman Thomas Lebas was the team leader for 5 years. In 2018, the team changed its name to Team Bridgestone Cycling, with an all-Japanese team roster. Lillers (; vls, Lillaar) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Geography A small farming and light industrial town situated some 15 km northwest of Béthune and 40 km west of Lille, at the junction of the D185, D182 and the D69 roads. The town is bypassed by the N43 to the north and the A26 autoroute to the south. The river Clarence flows through the town. Miyataka Shimizu
(born November 23, 1981) is a Japanese former professional racing cyclist. Career Shimizu was born in Saitama Prefecture. After beginning cycling at Hatoyama High School, he attended the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya before becoming a professional in 2004. Shimizu was in general considered an all-rounder. His victory at Paris–Corrèze in 2008, the first of a UCI category 1 stage race by a Japanese, has been termed "epoch making." In 2014, he was chosen to represent Japan at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in the men's road race. He announced he would retire at the end of the 2014 season. The Tour de Taiwan is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Taiwan since 1978, and has been part of the UCI Asia Tour since 2005. It has been classed a 2.1 category race for the first time in 2012. History The Tour de Taiwan was established by Giant Sports Foundation's founder, King Liu, in 1978. The first race began in Taipei, continued through Western Taiwan, Southern Taiwan, Eastern Taiwan, and finally ended in Taipei. Tour De Okinawa
The is an annual professional road bicycle racing Classic cycle races, classic one-day race held in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It was first started in 1989 as an amateur race, but became professional in 1999. It became part of the UCI Asia Tour in 2005. Until 2007, it was a one-day race, billing itself as the longest single-day course in Japan, but was transformed into a two-day stage race in 2008, its Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI category changing from 1.2 to 2.2. In 2008, the first day was a criterium, but from 2009, it was changed to a time trial run on the streets of Nago. The 2010 edition extended the second stage to 210 kilometers. The 2012 edition again returned to a single-day event. In addition to the main international champion race, there is also a women's and junior international race, as well as several amateur races. Makoto Iijima
is a Japanese former professional road and track cyclist. Considered one of Japan's most successful cyclists in his decade, Iijima has claimed a total of nine track cycling medals (two golds, three silver, and four bronze) at the Asian Championships, two silvers at the Asian Games (1998 and 2002), and three national time trial titles at the Japanese Championships (1998, 2004, and 2005).
