Brice Johnson
Jonathan Brice Johnson (born June 27, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Toyama Grouses of the B.League. He played college basketball for North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball, North Carolina, graduating in 2016. He was selected in the first round (25th pick overall) by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2016 NBA draft. Early life Johnson is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina and attended Edisto High School, where his father was the varsity basketball coach. Johnson's mother, Renee Johnson, died from colon cancer when he was a teenager. College recruitment College career As a sophomore, Johnson averaged 10.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. The Naismith Trophy is a trophy awarded to the men's champion of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, and is named in honor of basketball's inventor, James Naismith. The trophy was first awarded to the winner of the 1967 FIBA World Championship. The current version of the trophy was awarded for the first time at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup. William John Cunningham (born June 3, 1943) is an American former professional basketball player and coach, who was nicknamed the ''Kangaroo Kid'' for his leaping and record-setting rebounding abilities. He spent a total of 17 seasons with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers (nine as player, eight as coach), and two seasons as a player with the Carolina Cougars of the ABA.
