Brian Walsh (English Footballer)
John Brian Walsh (26 March 1932 – January 2001) was an English professional footballer. Career Walsh began his career playing non-league football before joining Arsenal as an amateur in March 1949 before signing professional for the club five months later. He played a handful of friendlies for Arsenal before being called up for national service in 1950. He returned to Highbury in 1952 and played regularly for the reserve side before making his debut on 26 September 1953 against Cardiff City. He went on to make just seventeen league appearances for the club before leaving as part of a deal which saw Cardiff City players Mike Tiddy and Gordon Nutt move to London and Walsh move the other way to Ninian Park. He made his Cardiff debut in a 2–1 win over Preston North End and his performances on the wing saw him become popular with the Cardiff fans. Brian Walsh (footballer, Born 1934)
Brian J. Walsh (25 October 1934 – 20 August 2010) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Walsh started his career as a centreman, with Ormond Amateurs, in the Victorian Amateur Football Association. He was recruited to the VFL by St Kilda coach Alan Killigrew, who had coached Walsh when he was a junior with CBC St Kilda. At St Kilda he played in the back pocket, forming a strong defence, which had two Brownlow Medal winners, Neil Roberts and Verdun Howell. Roberts has been quoted saying Walsh was the best player in the back six. His 131 league games, between 1956 and 1964, included two finals. Walsh didn't kick a goal for St Kilda, although he did manage a goal for an opposition team. The goal came when St Kilda were playing Carlton at Junction Oval, in the fourth round of the 1958 season. Brian T. Walsh (born 24 April 1951) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton and Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1970s. From Sandhurst, Walsh had his best year in 1973 when he won Carlton's Best Clubman Award and topped their goalkicking with 60 goals, including a bag of eight against South Melbourne at Lake Oval. He was a rover in the 1973 Grand Final but finished on the losing team. In 1975 he joined Essendon and kicked exactly 100 goals for the club over four seasons. He finished his career at Werribee and was their captain-coach in 1981, winning Werribee's 'Best and fairest'. Brian Walsh (born 28 September 1972) is a former Irish Fine Gael politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Galway West constituency from 2011 to 2016. He also served as Mayor of Galway from 2006 to 2007. He sat for a time as an Independent TD, having lost the Fine Gael parliamentary party whip, from July 2013 to April 2014. Brian Walsh (born 21 October 1969) is an Irish former rugby union player and current coach. Career Walsh was part of the famous Munster team that beat Australia in 1992. Australia were world champions at the time, having won the 1991 Rugby World Cup. He was also part of the Munster team that began the provinces history in the Heineken Cup, participating in the opening 1995–96 season, before ending his playing career with Munster in 1998. Internationally, Walsh was selected in the Ireland squad that toured Australia in 1994, but he never won any caps. On January 4, 2023, Ana Walshe, a Serbian-American real estate executive, was reported missing by her employer and, separately, by her husband, Brian Walshe.
