Brian Turnbull
Brian Turnbull (born 1999) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Douglas and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left corner-forward. Playing career St. Francis College Turnbull first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Francis College in Rochestown. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 21 December 2015, Turnbull scored 3-04 for St. Francis College when they defeated Scoil Mhuire gan Smál from Blarney to win the Dr. O'Callaghan Cup. Douglas Turnbull joined the Douglas club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 21 September 2015, he scored three points from right corner-forward when Douglas defeated Sarsfields by 3-12 to 0-13 to win the Premier 1 MHC title. Douglas () is a suburb, with a village core, in Cork (city), Cork city, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Douglas is also the name of the townland, Parish (Catholic Church), Roman Catholic parish, Church of Ireland parish and Civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish in which it is contained. The Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kerry GAA, is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland. 2020 Munster Senior Hurling League
The 2020 Munster Senior Hurling League was the fifth staging of the Munster Senior Hurling League since its establishment by the Munster Council in 2016. The league began on 15 December 2019 and ended on 11 January 2020. Clare were the defending champions, however, they failed to make it out of the group stage. On 11 January 2020, Limerick won the Munster League after a 1-32 to 0-20 defeat of Cork in the final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds. 2019 National Hurling League
The 2019 National Hurling League is the 88th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Kilkenny were the defending champions, having won the 2018 league. The GAA announced a new broadcast agreement on 10 January 2019 that runs from 2019 until 2022. Eir Sport and RTÉ provide live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights. TG4 broadcast Sunday afternoon games. The highlights programmes are RTÉ2's ''League Sunday'' on Sunday evenings, TG4's ''GAA 2019'' on Monday evenings and Eir Sport's Allianz Leagues Reloaded on Wednesday evenings. 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship
The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. Prior to 2019 an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was held. The championship began on 25 May 2019 and ended on 24 August 2019. Tipperary were the defending champions. On 24 August 2019, Tipperary won the championship following a 5-17 to 1-18 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 11th All-Ireland title overall and their second title in succession. Liam is a short form of the Irish name Uilliam or the old Germanic name William. Etymology The original name was a merging of two Old German elements: ''willa'' ("will" or "resolution"); and ''helma'' ("helmet"). The juxtaposition of these elements effectively means "helmet of will" or "guardian". When the Frankish Empire was divided, the name developed differently in each region. 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 88th staging of the All-Ireland minor hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling competition for boys aged between fifteen and seventeen. The championship began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 19 August 2018. Galway were the defending champions and successfully defended the title after a 0-21 to 0-14 win over Kilkenny in the final on 19 August. The 2018 championship saw the biggest change in format since the introduction of the "back-door system" for beaten provincial finalists in 1997.
