Brian Roche (hurler)
Brian Roche (born 2000) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Championship club Bride Rovers and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-forward. St Colman’s College, Fermoy Roche enjoyed much success during his tenure as a student at St. Colman's College, Fermoy. After winning the Cork Colleges U16A Hurling County title in third year. Roche stepped up to represent both the Colleges Junior and Senior teams in his 4th year “transition year”. He was appointed captain of the Junior team along side his twin brother Eoin in the 2016/17 campaign. A team primed with 14 transition year students on the starting 15 would win the school its first Dean Ryan Cup U16.5A Munster Colleges Hurling Championship title after a stunning replay win over a talented Thurles CBS outfit ended 2-12 to 1-13. Rathcormac () is a small town in north County Cork, Ireland. Previously situated on the main Cork to Dublin road (the N8), it was bypassed in 2006 by the M8. 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 55th and last staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 7 May 2018 and ended on 26 August 2018. Limerick were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 26 August 2018, Tipperary won the championship following a 3-13 to 1-16 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 10th All-Ireland title overall and their first in eight championship seasons. They were the first team ever to win the All-Ireland title after being defeated in the Munster Championship. The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades.
