Brian Quinn (businessman)
Brian Edward Quinn (6 July 1936 - c.2008/2009) was an Australian businessman who was jailed in 1997 for fraud. Quinn was a store manager in the 1960s. He rose to become the first executive chairman of the merged Coles Group, Coles Myer retail giant. In the 1990s he was involved with Solomon Lew in the controversial Yannon share transaction. An internal company investigation in 1995 exonerated Lew but accused Quinn of helping organise a secret underwriting of the share transaction which cost Coles Myer $18 million. In 1997, Quinn was charged with fraud after spending almost $4.5 million of shareholder funds on renovations to his mansion home in Templestowe. The renovations, which included a gilded lavatory and other ornate luxuries, were discovered when an accountant realised that invoices supposedly for the maintenance of company property were actually payments to contractors working on the mansion. Brian Michael "Q" Quinn (born March 14, 1976) is an American podcaster, improvisational comedian, and actor. He is a member of The Tenderloins, a comedy troupe also consisting of Sal Vulcano, James Murray, and formerly Joe Gatto. Along with the other members of The Tenderloins, he stars in the television series '' Impractical Jokers'', which premiered on December 15, 2011, on TruTV. Early life Quinn was born on March 14, 1976, in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, but moved to Staten Island before he was two years old. He is of Irish and Italian ancestry. Quinn attended Monsignor Farrell High School. Along with Murray, Vulcano, and Gatto, he was a member of his high school's Improvisation Club. He studied at Brooklyn College before joining the New York City Fire Department, where he served for eight years. Brian Quinn (hurler)
Brian Quinn (born 1972) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Clare senior hurling team. Quinn made his first appearance for the team during the 1994-95 National League and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over the next decade. During that time he won one Munster medal on the field of play while he also won two All-Ireland medals as a non-playing substitute. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. He won Munster and all Ireland junior. At club level Quinn is a one-time county club championship medalist with Tulla. His brother, Andrew Quinn, also played hurling with Clare. Playing career Club Quinn played his club hurling with Tulla and had much success in the twilight of his career.
