Brian Morrisroe
Brian Morrisroe (born 17 April 1972 in Dublin) is an Irish footballer who plays for Manortown Utd A midfielder he made his League of Ireland debut for St Patrick's Athletic at Dundalk on 26 September 1993. Morrisroe scored the winner against Southampton F.C. in a friendly in July 1995. Morrisroe played in two 1996–97 UEFA Cup games for the Richmond Park (football ground) side. He moved to Shamrock Rovers in June 1997. Morrisroe made 2 appearances in the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup for Rovers before moving to Dundalk making his debut in a 1–0 home defeat to Longford Town on 22 August 1999 and subsequently helped the Lilywhites on their way to promotion from the First Division in 2001, before leaving Oriel Park to sign for Ballymena United in February 2001. He had a subsequent spell at Athlone Town. He spent a few years out of the League of Ireland playing with Glenmore Dundrum in the Leinster Senior League. Richmond Park (football Ground)
Richmond Park is a football stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Situated in the Dublin suburb of Inchicore, it is the home ground of League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic F.C. (also known as St Pat's). The area where the ground now stands was formerly used as a recreational area by the British Army, who were stationed at the nearby Richmond Barracks, both named after Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond the barracks having since been demolished. History After the creation of the Irish Free State, and therefore the removal of the British Army, the ground lay idle for 3 years before League of Ireland club Brideville began using the ground in 1925. FAI Super Cup
The FAI Super Cup was an association football super cup featuring clubs from the Republic of Ireland. It was played for between 1998 and 2001. It was a pre-season tournament played in the summer before the regular League of Ireland season began. The same four clubs that qualified to represent the Republic of Ireland in UEFA competitions also qualified for the Super Cup. League of Ireland clubs had previously played in a similar competition known as the Top Four Cup. A similar competition, the LFA President's Cup, co-existed with the FAI Super Cup. St Patrick's Athletic Football Club ( ga, Cumann Peile Lúthchleas Phádraig Naofa) is a professional Irish association football club based in Inchicore, Dublin, that plays in the Irish Premier Division. Oriel Park is a UEFA Category 2 football stadium located on the Carrickmacross Road in Dundalk, Ireland. The stadium is the home ground of Dundalk Football Club and is owned and operated by the club on land that has been leased from the Casey Family Trust since 1936.
